Ham & Turkey Stromboli

I end up throwing this together fairly regularly when it's raid night.

Ham & Cheese Stromboli

1/2 package Pepperidge Farm Frozen Puff Pastry Sheets (1 sheet)
1 egg
1 tbsp water
1/2 lb. sliced cooked deli ham
1/2 lb. sliced cooked deli turkey
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Thaw pastry sheet at room temperature 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 400. Mix egg and water.

Unfold pastry sheet on lightly floured surface. Roll into 16" x 12" rectangle.

With short side facing you, layer ham and turkey on bottom half of pastry to within 1" of edges. Sprinkle meat with cheese. (I usually do at least 2 layers of alternating turkey and ham, with cheese on top of eat layer of ham.) Starting at short side, roll up like a jelly roll.

Place seam side down on baking sheet. Tuck ends under to seal. Brush thoroughly with egg mixture.

Bake 25 minutes or until golden. Slice and serve warm. (In our oven, 20 minutes is safer. 25 usually burns the bottom a little too much and makes it stick to the cookie sheet.)
